The Drama Is Present:

Suhrkamp Theater | Sam Max (aus dem Amerikanischen von Wilke Weermann)

Everything seems to be going great with Connor and Felix: Felix is a successful film producer, and Connor’s career is finally taking off as interior designer. But when Felix is faced with allegations of abuse, Connor is taken back to his childhood, and traumatic memories of a young Connor isolated in a damp cellar, eavesdropping on illegal machinations of his Fake Dad trafficking human organs are awakened. A harrowing thriller unfolds, in which the puzzle pieces only gradually begin to fall into place…

Sam Max’s theatre play focuses on how we treat the bodies and traumas of gay men and explores the links between power, inheritance, masculinity and violence.

The play’s world premiere, directed by Ersan Mondtag at Staatstheater Wiesbaden, was invited to the prestigious Berlin Theatertreffen festival in May, and in June we now get to celebrate the book launch of its German translation at Roter Salon!

With autor Sam Max, actor Caner Sunar and actor Jonas Hien

Der event will be in German and Englisch.
