The anthology Der Hase im Mond consists of nine texts by Milena Michiko Flašar – Japanese stories, quite distinct in style and tone, that reveal a different side of the author without betraying her signature diction and rhythm. Like her novels, Flašar’s shorter stories explore the experience of loneliness and unfulfilled desires adding a fine surreal and fantastical dimension, humour and playfulness to her previous work.
